La Petite Maison's Cocktail – A Recipe

We present a simplified version of a cocktail found on our latest drinks list. It's a batch prepared mix that's bursting with essence of the Christmas time, which makes it excellent for hosting a festive gathering. Reserve the remaining citrus syrup you can use for breakfast cocktails, puddings, or for another batch of bikinis.

The Bikini Cocktail

Serves 10 guests

For the Clementine Syrup (produces 750ml)

300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar

To make the Premix (yields 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Instructions

For the Citrus Syrup: Combine the listed items inside a saucepan, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating so the sugar melts. After that, turn off the stove and leave to cool entirely. Decant into a sterilised bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it will last for around four weeks.

For the Batch Mix: Combine the specified liquid ingredients in a big jug, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then strain , ideally through muslin, making it completely strained.

When ready to serve: Pour 85ml from the cocktail base into a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and stir gently for about 60 seconds to cool it down. Filter into a frosted cocktail glass or similar, top with the cranberries and complete it with a brief mist of mandarin oil over the top.
